A Gartner study predicts that through 2022, 75% of companies with diverse and inclusive decision-making teams will exceed their financial targets.


The need for diversity, equity and inclusion is exemplified by understanding how demographics (and employees and customers) will shift over the next 10, 20 and 30 years or more.

In 2020, whites accounted for 59.7% of the U.S. population; minorities 40.3%.   In less than 25 years (by 2045), the proportion of whites will fall under 50% (to 49.7%) for the first time -- thus, becoming the "new minority," while former minorities will then be in the majority, representing 50.3% of the population.
