Lawson Awarded DEI Certification by Cornell
Las Vegas, NV -- TaChelle Lawson, founder and President of Las Vegas-based FIG Strategy & Consulting, has earned certification in DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) from Cornell University.
The Cornell DEI program is designed to help make organizations more supportive and engaging places to work by understanding the perceptual, institutional, and psychological processes that impact the ways people interact with each other. It is designed for persons committed to going beyond mere compliance to build a truly aware and inclusive work culture.
The two-month program concentrates on four distinct areas …
Improving Engagement - studies show that only 11-19% of employees are highly engaged, yet engagement is the key factor that promotes higher performance and effort, greater returns, and lower turnover.
Counteracting Unconscious Bias -- examines the psychological processes that impact decision making within organizations and identify how to design better work practices to leverage the potential among employees.
Diversity and Inclusion at Work - diversity and inclusion has evolved from a focus on compliance to a strategic-level effort with a demonstrated positive impact on an organization's performance. The program demonstrates that diversity and inclusion are much more than a legal or moral requirement; they're also a competitive advantage.
Fostering an Inclusive Climate - examines how teams function and perform based on the quality of social connections, openness to learning, agility, and depth of decision making, and how to foster greater inclusion within the workgroups.
